You will need an unlocked GSM device to use Apela mobile service. The service will not work with a CDMA phone.
Some phones support both GSM and CDMA. In this case, the phone should work with any GSM carrier.
The packaging on your phone should disclose whether it’s GSM or CDMA.
If you need help to find out if your phone is compatible, call our Mobile Team at # 1 248.206.8811 and we can assist you. You’ll need the IMEI number of the phone, usually found by typing *#06# on your keypad, or if you have an iPhone follow these instructions.
* Apela Mobile cannot guarantee non-certified devices will be compatible with all services. All GSM based devices compatible with one or more Apela Mobile network frequencies should be able to use basic voice, messaging, and data services.
